Iran’s non-oil exports rise 108% in a week

TEHRAN - The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced that the country's non-oil exports in the last week have reached $1.7 billion with a 108 percent increase in value compared to the previous week.

According to IRICA, in the week ending on January 17, the weight of exported goods was 3.49 million tons, also a 60 percent increase compared to a week earlier.

The report adds that during this period, 1.157 million tons of goods worth $1.15 billion were imported into the country, registering a 36 percent increase in weight and one percent increase in value.

Additionally, foreign transit via Iran's routes also increased by seven percent to 438,000 tons in the last week.

According to this report, during the mentioned period, 928,00 tons of essential goods were imported into the country, 38 percent more than the previous week.
